GEAR GONE WILD : HMG Southwestern 2400

Gear Gone Wild is a blog post series of my favorite gear being used and abused in the wild. The image above my 3 year oldĀ Hyperlite Mountain Gear Southwestern 2400 sitting pretty on a lunch spot at Copper Pass located in the Sawtooth Wilderness of Washington’s North Central Cascades and in the background you can see the North Fork Twisp River Valley which my wife and I hiked up. I am sold on the Southwestern as a bomber ultralight pack for hiking and backpacking all four seasons of the year it’s simplicity, comfort, and durability (most of my trips and mileage are off trail) is just unparalleled the pack is unstoppable in it’s natural environment.
