Wildflowers Everywhere

I have been photographing wildflowers for many years watching the seasons of wither and dormancy give way to the color and renewal of Spring and Summer. These repetitive, subconscious, and reflexive acts have resulted in hundreds of photographs of the same flowers. I recently paused to question why I break my pace, search for just the right angle while off balance, kneeling, or sprawled out on the ground to get another shot of what I all ready possessed eventually realizing each shot is a sort of deference and the experience of stopping is all about slowing down and immersing myself in moments of quiet beauty. I have accepted the simultaneous joy of evolved human perception while acknowledging  that it all leads back to neurotransmitters.
